Shipping and Delivery 

We are a small team of artists, sewing and constructing your items with care as you order them; we are not a big corporation with tons of stocked inventory. It's no secret that your order with us might take some time to receive. Please expect your items to be delivered in a window of 3-20 business days after your order is placed. This window fluctuates due to many factors, like unexpected employee callouts, holidays, and an increased amount of supportive orders. If you reach out to us at we will be happy to help share some insight on where your order is in that window. I promise these clothes are worth it, and we appreciate your patience!

How Our Order Processing Works

Every weekday we print out the new orders and check to see if we have any of your items in stock. Sometimes you get lucky and we ship out your items right away. Other times we have one or two of the items but not the complete order, and sometimes we have to make your order from scratch. You will receive an order confirmation email as soon as your order is placed. You will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number when your order is actually shipped and on its way to you. Please don’t worry if you are only seeing the order confirmation in your inbox, and not the shipping confirmation. This is totally normal and it just means that we are still diligently working on your order. If you notice your order confirmation email is incorrect or your order needs to be revised, we are happy to accommodate changes including cancellations as long as its before you have received your shipping confirmation. If you have already received a shipping confirmation, you will have to initiate a return/exchange once you receive your package in the mail.

If you are ordering for a gift or for a trip, order early! Especially if it is during our busy times, or during the holiday season. But more importantly, if you have a deadline, please let us know the date you need it in the notes section before checkout. We promise, we will see the note and do our very best to get it to you by that day!

Domestic US orders under 1 lb are sent via 1st class USPS package mail (3-5 days) unless you choose a different method at checkout. If your order is over 1 lb your package will be shipped via USPS priority mail (1-3 days). This means if your address does not accept USPS mail please give us your PO Box instead. Currently we offer free US shipping for all orders over $99. If your order is less than $99 you will be charged $5 for shipping.

International Orders are shipped via APC from our warehouse every Friday. APC is a special carrier that communicates to the destination's local post office. All international customers must submit a telephone number at checkout. We promise this is for your benefit in getting your package sooner. Yoga Democracy is not liable for any customs and import duties that may be imposed on international customers. International customers who refuse to accept delivery will not be refunded for the cost of shipping or order value and goods disposed of by the carrier. Currently all international orders over $250 receive free shipping. If your international order is less than $250 U.S. Dollars you will be charged $15 for shipping.


All U.S based customers have 30-days from the day you receive your items to return or exchange any eligible items. Final Sale Items (with slash through pricing on our website) and Doorbusters are not eligible for a return or exchange. If you are a US customer please visit to initiate an exchange or return. For USA and Canada customers: a $5 restocking fee will be deducted from your return refund. For international customers: a $20 restocking fee will be deducted from your return refund.

As a small business, we typically process our returns once a week on Wednesdays. Since we know some of you are in a hurry to get your exchange processed, we are now offering an optional instant exchange credit so that you can start shopping with your credit as soon as you select it. This option will not offer you the entirety of your exchange credit due to the convenience and instant gratification of the system. If you would like to receive your entire exchange credit or a refund you can ignore the instant exchange credit option and your return will be processed the following Wednesday after we receive your package. 

All items must be returned in unused, original condition with tags attached. We cannot make any exceptions to this policy except in the case of manufacturer defect. Just because you ship it back to us doesn’t mean we are going to approve your refund. We understand that sometimes you wear an item once and decide you no longer want it; so if your items have clearly been worn based on smell, deodorant markings, (or music festival dust), we reserve the right to ship it back to you or donate to a local charity without approving your refund. 

We take great pride in all our garments, and quality inspect everything many times before shipping out to you, but we know we aren’t perfect. We are proud to warranty all our products including those marked as final sale for 1 year after your order is placed. So if you find there is a defect or something wrong with your item, please send us a couple of pictures, and we will be happy to offer you an exchange for a brand new exact same item upon verification of the defect by our team and receipt of the item. If we no longer carry the exact same item we are happy to offer you 75% exchange credit of your original purchase price toward a replacement item. Please reach out to us at if you need to initiate a manufacturers defect exchange or have any other questions.  

If you are making an exchange for items that you bought during a sale or with a discount code and you are still within the return/exchange 30-day window, we are happy to offer an even exchange for the exact same item in a different available size. If you would like to exchange for a different print or style you will receive an exchange credit for the full amount you paid and can shop the website using that credit. 

We love to follow sustainable practices and hope that you will reuse the same packaging that you received your item in. Your return will be shipped via USPS and they are very specific about their packages because they are extremely overwhelmed these days. So to help them out please make sure the package does not have any previous postage or writing visible on the outside. If you received your items in a priority bubble mailer and are only shipping one or two items back to us please turn that priority bubble mailer inside out so you can't see any priority mail red and blue print. Additionally, if you received your items in a larger box and you are only returning one or two items, we ask that you break down the box to fit snug around your items or use an envelope from another shipment you've received.  If you do not do this there will be an additional charge for us to pick up your package from our post office and it could cause a further delay in getting your refund and you will be subject to the difference in cost that we incur from using improper packaging.

International and Canadian Customers - Please contact us at to initiate the return process. We do not offer free return shipping labels for our international customers so the customer is responsible for shipping merchandise back, and incurring the cost associated with shipping. If you purchase your own postage we definitely recommend keeping a record of tracking on returned items. We do not take responsibility for lost or damaged packages shipped to us using postage purchased by the customer.
